Dynamic Data

At the end of everyday I will be manually copy-pasting that days sales from another file into one worksheet (Worksheet 1). In another worksheet( Worksheet 2) I have a column of dates. Everyday, I want that days sales updated in Worksheet 2 by referencing from the Total in Worksheet 1. However the next day, I want the previous days sales in Worksheet 2 to remain frozen and stop being updated from Worksheet 1 so that there is a dynamic list of sales for each day. Can this be done ?

Not with a formula, unless you do some manual things every day, like fixing values before pasting in the new data (I assume you are pasting it in and overwriting what is already there).

Yes I could just keep it referenced and just use "paste values" at the end of each day just to freeze that day's sales. I was wondering if there is a more elegant way of doing it.
