    Present value of cash flows

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I need to build out a present value of cash flows for debt payments for the auditors in excel and cannot find a template in Microsoft 360. I have the calculations done on an online calculator but cannot transfer to excel. Does anyone know if there is a standard template in excel to use or is this something I will need to build manually.

Re: Present value of cash flows

Are you using a financial model that fits in the PV() family of functions, so you can use the PV() function? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...1-da16e8168cbd

Or something more like the NPV() family of functions so you can use the NPV() function? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...b-ac28acf2a568

Or something more like the XNPV() family of function so you can use the XNPV() function? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...b-d67c16b664b7

    Or some other financial model?

Re: Present value of cash flows

Mr. Shorty, thanks for the response. It appears what I need is this one
the XNPV() family of function so you can use the XNPV() function

We are replacing old debt with new debt and the auditors need to determine the present cash flows of each debt to determine the proper accounting treatment. We have quarterly interest and loan payments and they want us to determine the PV of those payouts through the balloon payment at the end of the loan. The financial calculators online are informative but I have to build out an excel model to be able to show the logic behind it. I will look into the link you attached.
