I have a workbook where I have a tab with an excel data dump from another program. I have another tab to sort and group that data using VLOOKUP formulas. I have the VLOOKUP data grouped by the rows that contain the pertinent data for the main sort. Each of these groups are separated by a blank row to add ease of viewing. My issue is that now I have added auto filter buttons to the column headers, but the filter only recognizes the uppermost group of data. It stops the filter at the blank row. if I remove the blank row it filters just fine. Why does it not recognize the cell in the column as a "blank" for the auto filter and keep pulling data to the bottom of the page?
If I need to explain better I can try. For me to attach an example workbook it will be difficult due to most all the data being proprietary.
