Countif to record win or loss in 3 cells in a row

I am trying to use the COUNTIF function to display either a "W" (win) or "L" (loss) in three cells across a row (I,J,K).

If column I, J or K match the # in C I would like a W to be displayed in the matching column (I,J,K) and an L in the other two columns, but it is not working out for me.

You need to show us what you want, not something that isn't working.

    In E2:

    =IF($C2="","",IF($C2=E$1,$C2,""))

    Drag down and accross

    I2:

    =IF(E2="","L","W")

    Drag down and accross
