    Exclamation Vlookup not catching date

    Hi all,

I'm trying to Vlookup a Sales order from another excel file, the formula that I'm using is =VLOOKUP(B6,'[DIY File_12.10.20.xlsx]DEC 2020'!P:AD, 15,0)

Kindly see the attached pics for your reference.

    Any advise?

    Thank you

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Your Sales Order Numbers, or Dates, or whatever they are, all have leading spaces. Use Replace All to remove them. Should be fine. Rows 6, 7 and 8 needed re-entering using F2 and Enter.

Thank you for your reply. It is working on the dummy file that I created, but not on the main file. I'm still getting N/A on the main file.

Then you may need to make the same adjustments to your man file. Only you know what that looks like, I cannot second guess what I cannot see.

Yes, I get it. But I did make the same adjustments to the main file. Should I move the dates tab from the other file to the main file? Or do you see any discrepancies in the dates tab?

    Thanks

    Re: Vlookup not catching date

I'm not looking for discrepancies in your file/data. I only know the structure of the sample file; I cannot comment on what your main file or any related files look like. You have to make that analysis or share a redacted file.
