Calculate the % of attendance to meetings

    Hello,

I'm wondering which is the best formula to count the attendance of meetings.

    formula.png

I attached a screenshot for reference.

Basically I have been trying to calculate the % of attendance to meetings. When I use the COUNTIF formula, it counts the active members. However, if a member becomes inactive at a certain date, it will trick all the previous meetings stats and the ones he attended.

How can I calculate the % of attendance of members who were active when the meeting occurred? I don't want the formula to count members who were inactive at that time or not yet active members.

    Many thanks for your help!

    Re: Countif?

Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.

To upload a file click the Go Advanced button at the foot of your post, look underneath the post area for the Manage Attachments section and take it from there.

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.

Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. As you are new I have done it for you today.)

    @hringrv

Hi, the request to upload a file in #2 was just that, a request not a mandatory requirement - and made in the OP's own interests.
There is no rule which makes uploading a file mandatory and hence you were entitled to offer your solution in the absence of a file. Please go ahead and reinstate the solution.

@polypus. Just a reminder. Rarely are pictures much use. You have a file so why not upload it. Cut it down in size if necessary, all we need is a representative sample.

    Re: Countif?

I've received warnings from other mods for having posted solutions which I began working on BEFORE mods had issued requests for workbook attachments. While there's apparently little consistency between mods, I prefer not to take chances on possible rules violations. However, since there's no rule against publicizing such actions on my part . . .

    Hi Richard,
For some reason I can't seem to be able to attach a document, When I click on the button there is a white space as a pop-up but nowhere I can click to attach my file. Any idea what to do?
    Thanks

The OP is new and I stated at the end of the notice that I have made the change for them this time. Requests for workbooks are NOT moderation requests that stop the thread - they are never accompanied by a notice saying that no help may be given until a workbook is provided. I think you are getting muddled between administrative notes (title changes, missing code tags, cross-post links, etc.) and simple requests for more information.
