Need guidance to use a formula to do SUM the data from a PIVOT TABLE

    Friends,

I have a pivot table, with field names - "for months", "Ref No", "Grand Total", etc (This pivot table is from D5:Z100 - changes as and when we filter the pivot as per our data requirement).

I just want to write a formula outside Pivot Table in Column A5, like =SUMIF("Column Ref No","400","Grand Total").

That is if, there are value of in "400" in "Ref No" column, then sum the related values in column "Grand Total".

    Pl help me.
Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.

    acsishere.

SInce a PT varies as different selections are made it's not a good idea to reference a particular cell with an external formula.

Just use the SUMIF formula with the same data table that the PT uses.
