    Blank cell formula problem

    Hello,

I'm really hoping someone can help me figure out what is going on with this issue, that I have literally spent hours searching the net to try to resolve; unfortunately with negative results.

I have a workbook that has a lot of data and I use array formulas to pull the data in. I am ultimately trying to set up a template in excel to pull the address information into it but but in a certain order. Due to the nature of the data report it has a cell for the name, three separate cells for address line options (i.e., one line for Apt#, next for street address, and a 3rd cell for additional references, etc) and the individual cells for city, state and zip. I want my formulas to ignore the blank cells and bring up the next visible data line so the address will look correct on an envelope, etc.

For whatever reason, none of the formulas I try will recognize a blank cell (with a formula in the cell or without); I've even checked formatting. Very frustrating to say the least! This should be easy and I hope I'm just over thinking this, but my sample workbook will hopefully show you what I'm trying to accomplish.

In column A is the data that would normally be pulled in from an array formula, but for my sample the data now is text only, but I would love the formula(s) to work with either an empty cell or a blank cell that contains an array formula, etc. Thanks for your time and assistance!

    Re: Blank cell formula problem

The cell in A that was returning FALSE in B had two leading spaces in it. Delete those and it will return TRUE.

Thank you AliGW!! Not sure how I received the leading spaces, but I appreciate you figuring out the issue for me!
