Would like to create a 'sliding model' for choosing proportion of 2 different calculations

    Hi all,

So, I have created a document which has 3 scenarios that result in increased revenue. At the moment, the model is showing the outcome if either scenario was used to the max. I'd like to know if there is a way to create a sliding model whereby I can say (for example, I also need the ability to be able to change the total figure) "in total we need to produce £25m of increased revenue, if we split the plan with 70% scenario A, then we will make Xm and need to make Ym from scenario B" and give the user the ability to adjust how much of that £25m should come from A/B.

Subsequently, I will then almost reverse engineer the number to give them the plan. So, for example, if £15m came from scenario A, I can tell them that their cohort 1 customers need to increase penetration by X% to hit that, and then with £5m in scenario B, that relates to X new customers.. etc etc - so it gives them the freedom to see what seems viable, if they believe £10m is viable from scenario A but then they see what % increase it relates to, they may reduce it to 5m from scenario A, without me having to remodel each time.

Hope that makes sense? I've added a doc with dummy data attached. To summarise, scenario A = increasing revenue from customers who already give us a portion of their total business, scenario B = signing up new customers to this platform so they provide equal penetration as the existing customers. I'd ideally like a summary page with sliders that could enable someone to slide across to get the % value but I can make that if I have the logic.

    Many thanks!

Are you familiar with Solver? It's available in all the versions of Excel you'd need it for.

Oo, no I haven't heard of this add-on. This looks interesting, not sure exactly how to approach it for this - I found a solution through it, but how do I then allow the user to make adjustments based on what they've found?
