Good afternoon,
First post here, so I apologize if this is already a topic previously covered.
I am working in a workbook and have written some conditional formatting wherein if the date listed in one cell is earlier/later than the date in another cell, it should return either the value of another specific cell or a value of zero.
So, for instance, if the date in cell H7 is later than the date in cell A12, the value returned for a true statement should be the value of cell $C$7 or if false, the value should equal $0.00. While the statement "works," essentially, the returned values are coming up as either "$C$7" (rather than the actual value of that cell) or "0" (rather than a $0 in accounting format).
Hopefully I have adequately explained this, and if so, could anyone advise me on how to proceed?
Kind thanks,
Dina
p.s., here is the statement wording: =IF(A12<$H$7, "$C$7","0")
