    Lookup values and if a match is made do a conditional formatting

    Greetings

    I am trying to lookup the match between two values which may be read from a table

    If the match is from the friendly table, tit must indicate "F" for friend and next to it record "ok"

    if the match is from the enemy table must indicate "E"", shade red and indicate "ANTI

    I attach a sheet hereto whic I trust will make my explanation a little clearer

    Thanks in advance for the help

    Regards

    Rajan

    Your insructions " if the contents of Y3 = AB , read from table and indicate "E" do not make sense to me. Column Y contains numbers and are you meaning "AB" or column AB (which is blank).

    And read what from which table?

    Your instructions relate (I suspect) to another version which you copied into this workbook.

    Re: Lookup values and if a match is made do a conditional formatting

    "Need help with a lookup function that if the contents of e3 = h3 , read from table and indicate "E"
    and must shade red and in AF3 must indicate 'ANTI' "

    e3=2, h3=9 but result is E , red ,ANTI ? anf AF3 ???

    There no En=Hn matches

    "read from table " : read WHAT from WHERE ?

    If I'm reading this right, shouldn't the last one E9=6, H9=6 be "Friend"?
