Data Validation In formula cells

good day

Is it possible to apply a Data Validation in formulated cells?

Let say cell F4 mine contained below formula

=IF(D4&E4="","",IF(E4="","",IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(D4,E4)),"PASS","NG")))

How can i stop via validation data if "NG" is the answer?

I THINK (!) the answer is no but you still have not explained what data entry is to be stopped so until you provide a file with clear explanation of "stopped" the question cannot be answered.

i had upload the data. Need a validation data to stop NG in result. Than before need to make sure item is match.

Sorry but I still do not see anything to do with data validation: the cell is either NG, PASS or could be blank

yes there is nothing validation data there. But if NG is the formula result. I want to make people enter back the same item. which mean PASS.
Before that excel will warn and stop them by pop up message and THEY enter back the right item till PASS.

You will need VBA to do this.
