    VLOOKUP help - NEWBIE

Hi all, this is my first post. I'm not too bad with Excel but I have no idea where to start with what I want to achieve. I believe it's a VLOOKUP but I could be wrong.

So, I have two workbooks, these could be made in to two sheets inside one workbook if easier. It would probably be easier if I did it that way.

I have a column in each workbook that contains a car reg and a car description - DP19SUA HYUNDAI TUCSON DIESEL ESTATE 1.6 CRDi SE Nav 5dr 2WD

In one workbook the is also a funder column, but not in the other. I would like to match the funder to the vehicle in the workbook that doesn't list the funder.

    I hope that makes sense?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
