Conditional Formatting
I am working with student performance scores which have multiple criteria depending on grade. There are thousands of records. After setting up multiple CF criteria, I want it to follow the student Name or ID when I filter or sort. For instance, if I sort all 1st graders assign CF rules, they do not follow the student but appear linked to the actual cell. Does this make any sense and of so, is it even possible?

CF rules should follow the cell it applies too
Maybe a Formula is needed
if the rule is to highlight cells that have "1st Graders" in then those rows will be be highlighted BUT not follow any student name unless on same row as "1st Graders"
