    Re: Formatting Cells

    Example:-

I have 6 cells, B4 to G4 which hold different numbers
    I Have a grid B6 by G27

When the grid B6 by G27 is filled with numbers and any = the cells B4 to G4 I need the cell or cells in B4 to G4 too fill with Red.

    How do I do it.

    Re: Formatting Cells

You did not tell us if any cells in both areas could contain blanks; so I have assumed that they CAN.

Use this as the conditional formatting formula:

    =SUM(INDEX(($B$6:$G$27=B$4)*($B$6:$G$27<>"")*ROW($B$6:$G$27),))>0

    and apply it to B4:G4.

next time, please read the yellow banner (top) and attach a sample sheet, with expected answers... that helps remove the element of guessing.

    Re: Formatting Cells

    Thank you Glenn.
As I am new to Excel I thought I was entering my problem as I see it, simple as it is. As I progress, entering if there were Blanks, and an example worksheet I will do.

I am now going to try out your solution on my worksheet, as your example clearly shows it works.

    Re: Formatting Cells

    Or

    =COUNTIFS($B$6:$G$27,B$4)

    Apply to B4:G4
