Display times next to the field

    Hello,

I wanted to program a sheet, where I can have the names of the people in that specific place as listed under rotation, then they will be in the respective spots as defined in code, with the output displayed in block 1. However, I want the output to include the time 6a-6p, etc as shown in the second row. Can anyone tell me how I might be able to do that? Or is it not possible. (excel sheet attached)

    Thank you for your help!

This is VERY FAR from clear.

    1. Where do the shift times come from (not obvious from sheet).

    2. What sheet should we be working on?

    3. what is the relationship between the first 10 or so rows... and the second 10 or so rows?

    4. Why have you got merged cells all over the place? They will make formulae FAR FAR more complicated than they need to be. If there is NO good reason for them... kill them.

Re: Display times next to the field

    Excellent questions.

    1. I have attached the times to the Rotation sheet with respective days as it changes per the day.
    2. Will be working on the block 1 sheet
    3. So the outpt that I want on block 1 sheet is on that particular day we have those particular people covering that particular time; I have spaces in there b/c once I figure out how to do those rows, I want to do something similar to the ones below for other rotations but just tried to simplify it so I can understand how the codes will work.
    4. I have unmerged all the cells in all the sheets as well. So I'm thinking I can just display the time in the neighboring cell somehow right?

    Thanks for your great suggestions!

Still confused... but I have had a bash...

GREEN cells below. No formulae, but data are separated.

Orange cells above, formulae in place.

The remaining cells are NOT touched.

Is this what you wanted? If so, I can explain and tell you waht YOU need to do to finish the job. Also, I would populate the green cells from drop-down boxes, instead of free text to prevent mistaken entries.

If not, then you will need to show what you want MUCH more clearly....
