    Conditional Formatting Highlighting Rows

    Hi everybody,

I am currently creating a spreadsheet which will work out which shift different teams will be on a given date. Everything is working on it apart from the conditional formatting for the rows.

I am using the conditional formatting formulae INDIRECT("Q"&ROW())="1" so it should read column Q and if the value is "1" it should highlight it in Bold.

This is working great on all the rows apart from the first row which has left me a bit puzzled. One of the cells on the first row (P3) uses the VLOOKUP, could this be the cause?

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing the issue or know a different way to tackle the problem I'm having?

    Thank you,

    S

I'm not clear exactly what it is that you are trying to highlight.

So basically there are ten teams(blocks) on a ten week shift rotation.

The sheet defaults to the current date, but you can search for any date and it will work out what shifts all the teams are on for that week.

I tried to add a function where you can select one of the teams and it will highlight the shifts for that team by making them show in bold.
This is the part where I am having issues as it doesn't work on week 1 but does for the other weeks.

    Re: Conditional Formatting Highlighting Rows

    Change Q3 from this:

    =IF($P3=$M$14,1,0)

    to this:

    =IF($P3=$M$14,"1",0)

You are trying to match a text value "1" with the number 1, and this will return FALSE as they do not match.
