VLOOKUP does not seem to pull up alphanumeric values, e.g. "4BSH". If this value had only numbers, such a 4842, the formula would have no problem pulling it up. Is there a work around to pull up such numbers or a different formula altogether?

Please read the yellow banner at the top of this page on how to attach a file.
can you explain more, I dont understand
Vlookup - looks up a value in a list and returns the matching cell depending on how setup
Index/Match may help , you may want to look into that formula
=Index(column to return value from , Match( value to match, column to match in , 0 ))
zero = exact match
Can you provide a sample spreadsheet - see yellow banner -

Hello ertrodrigues. Welcome to the forum.
As already said an uploaded workbook is helpful.
In the meantime as long as your alphanumeric values contain no spaces or other non-alphanumeric values you can convert those alphanumeric values to numbers with the DECIMAL function and do your lookups based upon those.
