I'm building an MRP system in Excel where I want the finished Demand to be backdated for the buyer to order material so it arrives in time for the planned production date. I'm not sure of the formula I should use and hope someone might be able to help me.
Think about you going to organise your data with multiple products.
I would not advise having the required quantity on one line and order date on another. I assume all lead times are days.
Before you go to far down this path, look on the Web for free available Excel-based MRP templates.
