SUMIFS 2 criteria - unable to compare date to month number

I have a table(AdjTable) on a sheet(Adjustment) example below,

In Sheet(May) cell B37 I am trying to SUMIFS Adjustment!D2:D51(currency) based on 2 criteria
1 - May!B37 = Adjustment!A2:A51
2 - Date in Adjustment!B2:B51(Date) = 5, the month of May

In my samples below I am trying to get the formula to work, Ideally in the 1st. criteria month would be dynamic based on the sheet name - which the 12 months and the 2nd. criteria would also dynamic based on current sheet selected. NOT requirements but would be nice.

I am/have tried variations of the following;

Although you cannot put the formula in B37 on the May sheet

Yes, when placed on the Adjustment sheet - it worked,

I edited my previous reply, I didn't need it to be placed in B27 of May, it needed to go to AF37 and it works as needed, Thank you for the quick response...
