    Highlight max value for each combination of values in other columns

    Hi, I'm new to excelforum. I'm trying to use conditional formatting to highlight the max value in a column for each combination of values in column A and B. I have attached an excel file as an example. For example, I trying to find the max mobility and max resilience for every combination of Sort1 and Sort2. Not sure if a macro is required.

    No macro needed. You can achieve this with conditional formatting. Select C2:D49 and in conditional formatting add new rule, Rule based on formula, and write formula:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    and select some formatting style (In attached file I used orange fill for the cell interior).
