SUMIF and SUBTOTALS

Thanks in advance for the help. I am using a SUMIF and need to make it work when i filter by account number to only give me the data for that one account number and running into problems. Colum B is my Account number, Column C is my product code and Column D are the gallons purchased.

For #2 Clear Diesel, this works perfect, but i can not figure out how to get a subtotal so i can filter it by account? =SUMIF(C4:C428, "1", D4:D428)

Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.
