    Conditional formatting formula

What I'm trying to do is check if "C" column "Required" is yes and only then, check if "B" column "Status" is "Empty", then fill "B" column in red.

    What I've tried: =AND(C5="Yes";B5="Empty")
I put 5 cause my table starts at that specific row, but it changes row number ok.

But it doesn't work, it fills in red another row, understandable.

    Can you help me? Thanks!

    Re: Conditional formatting formula

It is because you have defined the refers to range as the whole of column B - set it to =$B$5:$C$17 and ensure that the formula refers to B5 and C5.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Conditional formatting formula

The problem is that I don't have a specific range of rows, what i've attached is only an example, I have to refer it for the whole column.

    Re: Conditional formatting formula

Yes but what is the maximum the column goes to

B:B could be changed to b5:b10000 for example, it does not matter if it is a few rows beyond the end

    Re: Conditional formatting formula

But I don't think that's the problem, the formula doesn't work, if you check the excel, the last row is "Empty" and "Yes", both conditions are true, so the red filling should be in that "Empty" row, not at the 13th column, which is "Accepted".

    Re: Conditional formatting formula

If you use the full column then you should select cell B1 and amend the rule so that it refers to C1 and B1.

    Hope this helps.
