Loan Calculator with known regular payments

    Hi,

Been a while since I have had to ask for help on here :D

I have seen some every good templates out there for Loan Calculators (as attached) where you supply Loan amount, Annual interest rate, Loan period in years, Start date of loan then Excel gives you the the monthly payment, but my requirement is different.

I'm trying to create a type of Loan Calculator in excel where I would supply Loan start date, Loan amount, Annual Interest and the regular monthly payment. With this data I want excel to work out the following:
    -The number of monthly payments
    -Total Interest
    -Total cost of load

then a break down of all the payments and interest in the following columns:
Payment Date, Beginning Balance, Payment, Principal, Interest, Ending Balance

Has anyone found a template like this or can point me in the right direction for the formula's I'd be grateful.

    Sorry this is Excel 2016.

    Thanks in advance
    Darren

Welcome back! You probably need to update your profile, unless you are still using Excel 2007.

I believe that I have worked on something similar in the past, however I can not find the file.
If you could manually mock up a small sample of what you want, someone may be able to automate the following parts:
    "-The number of monthly payments
    -Total Interest
    -Total cost of load

then a break down of all the payments and interest in the following columns:
Payment Date, Beginning Balance, Payment, Principal, Interest, Ending Balance"
Consider taking the time to add to the reputation of everybody that has taken the time to respond to your query.
