Formula for stock cover/ days in inventory and also generate excel formula for it

I don't know what the formula is and I cannot generate it

The thing is I'm trying to figure out how to the math to know how many months the stock will last :

    (1) I'm not sure how to do this. I checked online but I'm not sure if its in relation to this:

wikihow.com/Calculate-Days-in-Inventory and whether 'days in inventory should be converted to months'

    (2) Or whether its in relation to the formula the 2nd person here gives :kpilibrary.com/.../stock-cover

It sounds a bit easy based on your post number three however there is a little else information available. Your attachment doesn’t work and your description is not complete enough to get a reasonable formula.

Please review the information in the yellow banner at the top of the post and upload a sample workbook with expected results.

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.

Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. I would normally do it for you, as you are new, but you have not provided enough information for me to construct a suitable title, so you will have to do it yourself. No further help is to be offered until this is done.)

    Hi Sam,

    Thanks for the response,

It seems the easy formula I posted earlier might not be it. I don't know what the formula is and I cannot generate it

The thing is I'm trying to figure out how to the math to know how many months the stock will last :

Re: Formula for stock cover/ days in inventory and also generate excel formula for it

Im waiting for you to attach the workbook.

Nothing is more frustrating than to be working on homework and to get stuck. Without guidance, you might have no hope of finishing the assignment before the deadline. The Internet can be a big help in that respect, but without learning how to get the right answer, asking others to solve your homework questions for you simply becomes a downward spiral (and it's cheating).

We do not want to contribute to you cheating yourself out of your education, but we also acknowledge that seeking assistance to learn a concept is a legitimate request.

If you are genuinely interested in receiving help in the form of tutoring or coaching, then please rephrase the title of your original post to clearly indicate you are seeking coaching or tutoring help. Any forum members (who are willing to assist as a tutor) will modify their responses accordingly to facilitate your learning. Tutors don't tell you the answers, they help you figure it out for yourself; so don't expect answers, expect suggestions, or just plain hints. Also, be specific in describing the function/formula or technique you trying to learn, and tell us what you have attempted so far. Otherwise, expect your plea for homework answers to be ignored.
