I have 2 workbooks.
fROM eh_KDR file I am trying to looking up a value in I2, in column C, from the sheet EH_MNR7.
In eh_kdr FILE, i am inserting a VLOOKUP in j2 like so:
=VLOOKUP(I2,'[EH_MNR7.xlsx]MNR7089701.106 (004)'!$C:$C,1,FALSE)
But I am not getting a result. just n/a. Using CTRL F i can see the figures do exist.. can anyone tell me what's ghoing wrong? thank you

In the workbook with the formulas the values in column I are stored as text, in the other workbook the values in C are stored as numbers.
Try the below formula to coerce the text into numbers.

Formatting column I (Data==>Text-to-columns) as General appears to solve the problem.
