Formula to sample from one table containing multiple populations

I presently have a formula that does my statistical calculations (MOE, Confidence, etc) of each population.

I need to draw a sample from one table which consists of my monthly results, against a 2nd table which consists of how many of each sample I need. Keep in mind the "0" results belong to a list of names that are static, and that list of names will be checked every single month for potential sampling.

Any guidance would be incredibly appreciated! Thank you all in advance!

    Welcome to the forum.

Please update your forum profile - I believe you have MS365, and this is what is needed.

Your sample data does not work. You have only surnames in the sample list in the middle and no way of us knowing which Smith or Lopez, for example, they are. How, therefore, do you propose we tell Excel to decide?

    Am I missing something???

    Hi Ali -

What I need from the sample list is a random sampling of each last name. So if my population of each last name consist of the names given (table 1) and my sample requirement (table 2) requires a calculated number of each last name, then I wish to be able to pull a random sample of Table 1 Column A's full name.
