Exclamation My Index Match is broken

    Hi,

I've been working on this for 3 days and am now number blind. I'm trying to get the avg expected weekly sales in Column G but it's stopped working now that I've added new products in. The Food codes should all be showing 1 unit for Week 31. What am I doing wrong?

    Welcome to the forum.

Add a column with 10-15 rows of expected results added manually and post the workbook again.

Re: My Index Match is broken

If you are referring to rows 127 down in "Line Item Forecast" there is no data for Week 31

I've tried for week 32 as well and it should be pulling through figures. I've reattached with just those examples. Thanks for getting back to me!

    Hi,

I've amended for you and put in what the figures should be in a column next to it. Thank you for getting back to me

Not a lot we can do:

    =A5='Line Item Forecast'!#REF!

Something fundamental is missing from your sample file.

    Hi,

Thank you, that piece is irrelevant as it's part of a different piece, it's the formula in column G that needs to look up into the Line Item Forecast tab

Re: My Index Match is broken

Yes, I realised - sorry. I am looking at it now. In theory, this should work (I added data to Week 32):

    =INDEX('Line Item Forecast'!$E$4:$DE$19,MATCH(Dashboard!A5,'Line Item Forecast'!$A$4:$A$19,0),MATCH(Dashboard!$C$1,'Line Item Forecast'!$E$2:$DE$2,0))

but it doesn't, and I can't work out why.

Re: My Index Match is broken

Hi Thanks for this, see it works on the first bit, but if you apply that to the original sheet at the top it just stops working?

Re: My Index Match is broken

I am beginning to feel there's some corruption on one of the two sheets. If you can create a copy and it works, then that's what you should do. Just ditch the old workbook before it starts giving you even more problems.

See attached file from post #1 where originally there was no data!

I assume it is column G in "Dashboard" ?
