    Looking up by two variables

    Hello

I am trying to search in a table by two criteria. Firstly I want to search by the code column in Sheet 1, but only looking at the rows in Sheet 2 that dont have anything under customer name, and I want it to return only the first instance. I cannot find a way to get LOOKUP to search for these, and filter returns multiple. Ideally, I'd also want a way for column E to autopopulate once the order was allocated to a customer, but I fear adding it to multiple cells at a time will create a mess, so any assistance with that would also be apprechiated.

I have attached pictures in case the file uploads incorrectly.

    Thank you

As I am not clear about "The first instance of 'code' appearing in sheet 2 ", I have given 2 options. I feel one of them suits.
