If blank leave blank, If conditions met 1 if not met 2

Hi All, I am trying to use an IF AND OR function to populate the Summary tab on the attached worksheet. Im using and IF(AND to identify one criteria (is there a "Y" in the referenced cell, if so give me the #1, if not give me a #2) Id like to add a criteria that says if there is a "Y" or an "X" in the referenced cell give me a 1, if it is an "N" give me a 2. Also be nice if there is a way to use the offset function to be able to drag down the formula on the summary tab but this is only a nice to have.

Please let me know if I am not being clear. And thank you!

    Re: If and or

Assuming the cells will only have a Y, X or N. How about
    Formula: copy to clipboard
