Question Conditional Formatting - Highlight row-based matches based on data in same row

    Hi Forum Users,

I have created a scheduling template and with the help of other forum users, been able to add conditional formatting to suit specific goals.

One enhancement I want to implement is to list in a row the people unavailable to be scheduled on a specific day and compare it to the names for that same row of the schedule. If there are exact matches, a conditional formatting rule would highlight them. This would indicate to the scheduler to substitute this person with an individual who is available. Please see attached sample schedule.

In the G2:Z14 zone of the September 2021 sheet, data validation lists have been created using the named range "Approved_People_All". Conditional formatting has been applied to this zone to fill it with purple diagonal lines if the cells are blank. Based on the sample data in the spreadsheet, Person 01, 04 and are unavailable for scheduling on Wed, September 1. Based on the conditional formatting rule I want to implement, cell B2 would be formatted as it is an exact match.

Based on the context and information, what formula would I need to use in the conditional formatting rule to achieve this outcome? Please feel free to download and edit the spreadsheet.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Many thanks,
