SUMIF According to day of the week

Hi all, I'm new here.

I'm real noob with Excel but im trying to achieve something quite complex.

I have created a table with dates going from monday to sunday, this is driven by a manual date change at the top of the sheet.
In another table is have SUMIF function =SUMIF(B3:B29, "Jose",G3:G29) that scans 2 columns for a repeating name and a number attached to the name and if the name repeats, it adds the values, this works really well but i need it to populate the right day of the week according to today's date. If that makes sense.

So by the end of the day, i want the combined number from the names (SUMIF) to appear under the day of the week that i have created.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Sorry for late response.

So far i managed to have the name BlahBlah (that could repeat multiple times per day) and the number of crates that he brought back add up and show in the cells where i have my week, This date is driven by the monday of the week and then all the date are +1,+2,+3 etc...

but as you can see it repeats from Monday to Sunday, i want it to look at today's date and add the numbers to the correct day of the week and keep the number there when the day is over and roll over to the next day.

By the end of the week i want to see how many crates each person returned.
