Special COUNTIF

Hi, I'm making sheets to track hours and payments for dance classes. Sheet 1 has each class available as a header and then underneath a list of the participants in the class. In sheet 2 I have a schedule where each of the classes from sheet 1 are shown within their allotted times, labelled the same as the headers from sheet 1. Private classes are also shown in this schedule with the name of the student.
In sheet 3, I want to get the number of hours that a student is in private classes based on the schedule and then separately the number of hours a student is in group classes. The private classes hours I am able to get with a COUNTIF formula which counts how many times the student's name appears in the schedule and therefore how many hours the student is in private classes. I don't know how though to get the number of hours a student is in group classes. I feel like it should be possible but I can't figure it out.

So just to sum up, if say for example Jessica's name appears under "Jazz" classes column and "Acro" classes column in Sheet 1, I want to count how many times "Jazz" and "Acro" classes appear in the schedule which will will tell me the number of hours that Jessica is in group classes.
