I would like to count how many AM or AP letters each employee has in each week.
If I am using the COUNTIF function, I can do only for each week of each person, do I understand this correctly?
What is the best way to solve this problem, please help suggest.

This counts total of AM or PM
for Week1
=SUM(COUNTIFS($A$2:$A$8,$A2,B$2:B$8,{"AM","PM"}))
Copy across (for Week 2 and Week 3) and down
