    Add a spaces in a combination of Letter and Numbers

    Hello All

    This seems simple enough, bit for the life of me I cannot figure it out...

    Cell A1 contains A12345678 (formatted as general). I would like it A12 345 678.

    I have tried =text(A1, "### ### ###") but the return just gives the same result because of the leading alpha character.

    Appreciate the assistance.
