Comparing Lists in Excel

I have 2 lists of transactions and want have been trying to write a formula to identify unique entries in the 2nd list
that do not appear on the 1st list. These are entries that need to be added to balance back to a General Ledger Detail Report.
I have tried different formulas but none give me a 100% accurate list. I would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.

What do you want your result to look like? Do you want some sort of marker in the second list? Do you want a third list that is just the missing items?

Here is a third list using a helper column. It is possible to use a more complex formula without a helper column.

An alternative solution is to use Power Query. Bring each table into the PQ Editor. Join them with an Anti Right Join to find the items in List 2 not in List 1

Power Query is a free AddIn for Excel 2010 and 2013, and is built-in functionality from Excel 2016 onwards (where it is referred to as "Get & Transform Data").
