How to pull weekly data from a turnstile database HELP!!

    Hi All,

I am hoping somebody could help me, i am quite new to Excel, iv been trying learn/teach myself over the past year to better myself..

I feel i have progressed quite a bit, but now i have been hit will a challenge!!! i just don't know how to complete, basically..

We have turnstiles at work that our staff use to enter and exit the 3rd party site, all staff have an allocated ID card.. what i would like to learn is how to pull a full weeks data from, our customers turnstiles database for our staff only (the turnstiles have there staff included to and there is multipull entrees and exits).

I have attached a example of the spreadsheet and added a turnstile data tab, and a weekly data tab of which i would love to know how to pull the data i need.

I hope this makes sense, and i am not been to cheeky as now i feel like a failure lol.

You dont need to and I feel you may not have explained your question correctly
C5 and D5 are the same value as the person arrive don the sunday and left on the monday (however as the question is phrased this is the earliest and latest value for sunday!

    Can staff
    • enter and exit twice in a day?
    • Could staff
f have arrived in the previous week and left in the week you are examining
on the 13th *CL575 came and went twice

    c5 format as [$-x-systime]h:mm:ss AM/PM;; and enter as an array with shift control enter =MIN(IF((WEEKDAY('Turnstile Information'!$A$2:$A$1000)=INT(COLUMN(B2)/2))*('Turnstile Information'!$F$2:$F$1000='Weekly Data'!$A5)>0,'Turnstile Information'!$A$2:$A$1000))

    d6 format as time =IFERROR(LOOKUP(2,1/((WEEKDAY('Turnstile Information'!$A:$A)=INT(COLUMN(B2)/2))*('Turnstile Information'!$F:$F='Weekly Data'!$A5)),'Turnstile Information'!$A:$A),"")

What do you wish to calculate as total time

HI thanks for the quick reply.. yes staff can enter multipull times when they are on site, as the smoking hut is outside the DC and thats were a few go for break, yes they can also work into the next/following week if they work a Saturday night week as they also work night shifts. its really hard to try and explain.

I have paid the fee now so there is no turning back, i was hoping, i would get an example on the attached spreadsheet thats why i paid the fee. I hope that makes more sense fella..

Do you mean that you have purchased points in the Commercial Services section?

Firstly, this is a FREE forum and you don't need to pay.

The Commercial Services area is somewhere not to ask for help, but to pay someone to do a job for you in its entirety.

Unfortunately, the points you have purchased will go nowhere until you choose to spend them, and that would mean starting a thread in the Commercial Services section. They mean nothing here in the free section. All helpers give of their time voluntarily and for free, and may neither solicit nor accept any payment for that help.

By the way, you've posted in the Access section - was this a mistake? If so, I can move the thread for you.

So, do you want to continue here? If so, then understand that we'd expect you to have a go at applying the formulae suggested to your workbook yourself (and only shout if you get in a mess), or do you want to close this and start again where you can spend your points (and have it done for you)?

OK - that's fine. Unfortunately, because of the way Commercial Services works, you will have to start over there. I am not able to move this existing thread for you - sorry about that.

PM me if you need any further help, as I am now closing this thread.
