Question Applying rate depending on day status (holiday, etc.)

    Hi Guys,
Not sure what formula I'm supposed to be using. This is a multi part problem.

First problem. I want to go into the code column and apply a code based on whether the date is a public holiday (this has a reference table), a weekday, a Saturday or a Sunday.

Second problem. I want to go into the rate column and apply a rate based on if it is a public holiday (this has a reference table), a weekday, a Saturday or a Sunday. I also want it to reference the Rate table and must be after the correct date. The first date In the table is 1/7/19, then 1/7/20, then 3/7/21. as you can see the rate changes.

    ANY help would be appreciated

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.

Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. As you are new, I have done it for you thus time.)

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.
