I have a weekly data dump with 10s of thousands of transactions that we turn into a report for our client.
Our software does not have the ability hold all names in completion (only set number of characters available).
On a monthly basis, this data is used to send a report to a client. We have to replace all incomplete names with the full names for the client (manual ctrl F - Replace etc.)
There are hundreds of these instances that need to be replaced and it takes a lot of time to complete this task each month.
Is there a way to automate a find and replace in excel from a given list.
As well I am happy to utilise a helper column. I had considered this but I do not know of how to utilise something like an 'if' function with so many options on the list.
