Stabilisation in values - adding start point

    Hi all,

In the attached spreadsheet I have used a formula, which I got previously from this forum, to identify the time point whereby the value in column C stabilises between 2.34 and 2.46 (5% range - C3&C4) for 10 continuous cells.

This is presented in cell K7.

However, I would like to add an additional element to this spreadsheet whereby time to stabilisation is only considered after the value 7 is presented (C29). This would mean that even if time to stabilisation occurs before a value of 7 in column C, it would be ignored and only considered after.

Does anyone know how the formula in K7 can be adjusted to achieve this?

I have also added the relevant value (7) in E2 so that it can be incorporated into formula.

    Many thanks,
    TommyE

after rereading the question, a 2nd answer, i think in column F, you don't want to start counting before seeing a 7 in C.

Re: Stabilisation in values - adding start point

    Hi

    Thank you for your reply.

It is also worth noting that the value of 7 will change for each and every set of data I put into Excel (this is hypothetical data).

I will add a formula in E2 that finds the correct value for each set of data as 7 is just a random number I selected for this example. I therefore need K7 to incorporate E2 rather than the C column, I hope this makes sense.

Columns D and E also need to present "Yes" for 10 continuous cells for stabilisation to have occurred so though we identify C29 as the point in which it starts considering the answers in columns D and E, the answer in this example will still be 0.36.

I hope this makes sense, it's somewhat hard to explain.

    Thanks

Also, I am not finding the value in C29, I just want K7 to only start considering the values in column D and E after the value 7 has been presented in column C

    Thanks again

    Hi,

I have just reread through your second attached spreadsheet and this is exactly the kind of thing I am looking for. Rather than column F ignoring values before a value of 7 is reported in column C, is there a way to incorporate the same thing into the equation in K7?

Apologies, I misinterpreted the spreadsheet at first!

    Thanks
