    SUMPRODUCT with conditions

    In the attached WB, I would like to find RESULTS!C26, but also conditioning for only if Table1[STOP] is <>

    I've tried the following, but doesn't work...

    I cut your data back a lot to facilitate manual checking:

    =SUMPRODUCT(((Table1[DATE]<>"")*(Table1[STOP]<>""))/COUNTIFS(Table1[DATE],Table1[DATE]&""))

    On the cut back version, use formulas/evaluate formula to see it step by step. If you're still baffled... shout and I'll explain it.

    I couldn't understand the steps in the evaluation approach. I feel I understand the conditioning of the dates via ((Table1[DATE]<>"")*(Table1[STOP]<>"")), but then how does the formula know how many to divide by? I see you changed COUNTIF to COUNTIFS.
