Counting 1 for every x number formula

This may seem relatively basic but I'm new at excel and had a bit of trouble finding the answer to this online.

I want to create a cell that counts 1 for every 40 units counted in a given cell range. Say cells A2-G5 add up to 120, I want a cell that would reflect that total as 3.

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

    Maybe this:

    =INT(SUM(A$1:A1)/40)

where the range is your sum range.

    Untested!
