Ranking Updates when using Autofilter

I would like to be able to rank a list of accounts by sales volume, then the ranking spot update as I use filtering functions.

I have sales data in column J sorted from highest to lowest.
If I add a column (Column A) filling down numbers from 1 to whatever in a column so I can see top ranking accounts, then try to use autofilter to narrow down by types of accounts, the ranking stays as the original rank numbers before filtering.

Is there a way to get the ranking to update? Sample File attached

I am thinking there has got to be a way to do this and it work like SUBTOTAL 9 does. When I filter down the subtotals update.

Again, I am likely using the wrong terminology here and this is why I couldn't find another post relating to this. So I apologize.

Put this in A2 and pull down

=SUBTOTAL(3,$B$2:B2)
