    Protecting Table Columns

    Hi.

I have converted a Spreadsheet to a Table, the Table has a number of columns which do not require inputs.

Is there a way to protect/lock certain columns in a Table such that someone entering data can only access cells in the unlocked columns.

I can do it in the Spreadsheeet but not sure about the Table itself.

    Thanks.

    Re: Protecting Table Columns

In sheet protected mode, the table seems to be locked. I mean you can't add new lines to the table. You can still change data within the table but not expand it.
When protecting a sheet a window opens to ask you what can still be done in the protected mode. You can unmark the "Select locked cells" in the selection and those locked cells will be skipped when navigating in the table with the TAB. But keep in mind that you won't be able to expand the table.
