Conditional Formatting Question Regarding Document Expiry Dates

    Hello,

I seeking guidance on how to create conditional formatting for documents. As an example, I have several different documents that may expire either yearly, biyearly, or every 10 years. I've tried to upload an example, but the attachment won't upload. I've copied and pasted, but the colors won't appear in this post.

    Examples:
Student one's Influenza, is due yearly and would now be expired. I would want that highlighted red.
Student two's drug screening is due biyearly is within 60 days of expiring and I would want to highlight it blue.
Student threes CPR is due biyearly and is within 30 days of expiring and I would want that highlight orange.

    I appreciate any assistance.

ID # NAME Drug Screening Background Check CPR Certification Physical Examination Influenza
    Person 1 7/8/2021 7/8/2021 10/26/2020 7/19/2021 1/07/2021
    Person 2 3/25/2020 1/5/2022 2/26/2020 10/8/2021 10/7/2021
    Person 3 1/4/2022 1/4/2022 12/23/2020 1/11/2021 10/19/2021

    60 days
    30 days
    expired

    Re: Conditional Formatting Question

We really do need the workbook, or at least a true representation anonymised as necessary.

It's hard to work out where you hold the various criteria, i.e. annual, bi-annual, 10 years, and the within days 60, 30, etc.

To upload see the yellow banner headline at the top of the forum

    Re: Conditional Formatting Question

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

    Administrative Note:

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version (NOT release number) of Office (Excel) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect - 'latest' could mean one of many things. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this. Thanks.

Hello, I did read the instructions in the yellow banner, but was not able to find the "manage attachments" place to click.
