Conditional Formatting - Compare 2 Cells on Diff Tabs

I feel like this should be easy, but I'm struggling. Basically I just want to compare 2 same size data sets on 2 different tabs, and have them return a Red/Yellow/Green based off the comparison. Eg, if 2022 tab cell is great than the same cell on the 2021 tab, then list green. If same, yellow; if less, red. I seem to only be able to do this individually on each cell which would take forever. How do I get an entire column to compare to an entire column on the other tab?

Eg, If C5(2022) > C5(2021), then make it green, If C5(2022) = C5(2021), then make it yellow, If C5(2022) < C5(2021), then make it red -- for all columns/rows.

    Any help would be appreciated!!

Is this because the data set is huge
OR because you think you need a formula for each cell, which you dont

    you can setup a range

    so select C5 to H9

now you can use 3 formulas

    =C5=2021!C5

    =C5 < 2021!C5
    =C5 > 2021!C5

Now because you have selected C5 to H9

not used any $ to fix the cells , they will test each cell in the selected range

    so conditional formatting will check
    =C5=2021!C5
    then
    =C6=2021!C6
    then
    =D5=2021!D5

    etc
