Format date 6 months from multiple date ranges

Hi

i have a fire extinguisher register and the extinguishers need to be re tested and tagged every 6 months.
i need to have the corresponding row turn a different colour when that date comes up in column H but not sure of formula.

What do you mean by "when that date comes up in column H"? Do you mean when the date becomes due?

thats correct the date in column H is the due date

Try this conditional formatting formula:=AND($H3<=TODAY(),$H3<>"")
