Lightbulb Count Workdays depending on which cell populated

    Hi All,

Apologies if this has already been addressed in a thread.

I am trying to calculate the number of workdays overdue depending on whether an extension has been raised (or multiple). I have attached an example worksheet so for example:
    - Row 2 the days overdue would calculate once E2 was populated and goes past the date entered, then would clear once F2 was populated, calculate overdue days again once G2 date passes etc.
    - Row 3 would calculate days overdue based only on E3, as F3 and G3 have not been populated
    - Row 4 would count days overdue as the final closure date was past due date

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

Please manually add the results you expect for different permutations of data,

You say "Row 3 would calculate days overdue based only on D3, as E3 and F3 have not been populated"
however D3 has not been populated (with a date) and E3 has which is quite confusing.

Apologies Richard - I knew I would make at least one error!!

I have edited the original post (I had added an extra column in the excel file which messed up my post).

    Thanks

As Richard states it is helpful to have expected results manually placed in column I so that we know whether or not our proposed formulas are yielding the correct results.
That said the following may do what you want:
