Question COUNTIF and VLOOKUP with 'Multi-Input' cells

    Hi forum,

I have several 'multi-input' (With a dropdown macro for multi inputs) cells which look like this:

    Value1
    Value2
    Value3

Now I want to use 'COUNTIF' and 'VLOOKUP' but it isn't working by default.
    Any hints how to WORKAROUND?

Re: COUNTIF and VLOOKUP with 'Multi-Input' cells

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Please use the below formula in column H

    Formula: copy to clipboard

The * is looking for the word in a string, if you copy and paste the cell where the dropdown is each fruit is one continuous word. see column I as an example.

    Hope that helps.

With regards to column C, the only way I can think of having it is using the formula in C3, this could become a very long formula and it doesn't have the formatting you will want.

You will be better off using a macro but this isn't my area.

This one is working like a charm - Thanks for that!

Any 'macro power user' who can help with the second one?
