Not certain how to title this and hope I'm not over-complicating it. The attached WB is a spreadsheet related to stock trading. The TRADES sheet is a listing (sampling) of all trades and the respective data for each trade. On the RESULTS sheet, in the upper left, I have a calculator. This calculator calculates an annualized net of gain based on all the TRADES data.
What I want to incorporate into this calculator is the ability to calculate selling x% of shares at different periods of gain and summing them together. In short, I wish to calculate and sum...
25% of the shares @ .40 gain
25% of the remaining shares @ 1.00 point gain
100% of the remaining shares @ exit price
The calculations would be on all trades that have a max gain of at least .40, and account for trades that may exit lower than either/both of the calculations.
Not certain I could/want to do all this in one formula. Since I have the columns on TRADES, my thought would be to add appropriate, additional columns and simply add those together.
Your input would be appreciated.
